Our Focus:

  Our building features water harvesting and recycling and extensive solar gain. Large pinon trees were transplanted before construction. We've retained and incorporated existing bedrock, which gives the feeling that our store building grew from the surrounding environment.

  Aesthetics are a focal point for us at Tropic of Capricorn. All indoor and outdoor spaces were designed to give our guests a feeling of tranquility in beautiful surroundings.

  Tropic of Capricorn is a living classroom, a representing our outreach philosophy, not just a facility! We regulary offer classes, seminars, lectures, demonstrations and workshops. The element of surprise is pervasive, stimulating the mind as well as all five senses. Xeriscape and orchid classes, pet adoptions, dried flower arranging, writers group sessions, and botanical illustration are but a few of our happenings.
